Adobe Create · Interview
1. Can you describe yourself and your work?
Basically I’m a self-taught graphic designer and illustrator currently based in Barcelona who loves geometry, bold colors, fine vectors and tuna makis.
2. How did you get started?
I started studying Fine Arts and began early to work on multidisciplinary projects applying my artistic background plus developing my graphic designer side as well. Since then, I’ve been through the experience of working both for studios and agencies along five years, rediscovered my passion for illustration and nowadays I'm taking on new challenges as a full-time freelancer
3. What piece of work best represents you and why?
I’d say that my last piece of work is usually the one that represents me the most. I’m always trying to evolve my style pushing boundaries even though through the same direction, with slightly different approaches.
4. What are you into currently?
Lots of stuff in the works! A few ongoing projects related to very different things, which goes from leather stickers to a full branding development, including its website. I’ve also recently finished several illustrations for a city brand from the USA, another branding project, a personal tribute to Twin Peaks and I’m about to start a new exciting project for a new fashion brand coming soon in Spring ‘18. Everything pretty assorted and fun!
5. What are three things you’ve learned that young creatives should know?
Trust your gut / Work hard / Have fun
*5 1/4. Favorite color?
I’ll say favorite color combo: Pink+Red
*5 1/2. Favorite website?
*5 3/4. Pet peeve?
Strangers on the subway/street who choose to listen to their music through the speakers, instead of headphones.
